Comments: I was in Saturday - Our waitress was Kayla (Kylie?) - She came up when no one else came over - took over our table and took great care of us. I watched as she went around the restaurant overseeing all the tables and staff - I asked if she was the manager and she said no - only when she closes the bar. She shows great leadership and organizational skills - had to tell the bartender the woman standing in front of him wanted a take out order??? Someone should look into bringing her on in a leadership role - she has the skills - Service was excellent as was the food - Thanks Kayla (and Chester!)

Comments: Last week I wrote regarding not being given a table on Friday at 5 o'clock because of reservations. Today I received an email from Seth who I believe is the owner. It was a lengthy reply citing restaurant week and a more than usual reservations. He was apologetic but indicated that hostess who was kind of new did follow protocol of restaurant. While I was a little upset last week Seth's response showed me a restaurant being proactive in addressing a customer concern. Thumbs up to Chester's for addressing a customer concern and encouraging future business. I've always been happy with the food and this most recent experience and email from Seth makes me anxious to go back for another fish fry this time with a reservation as Seth suggested.

Comments: Came in for dinner on April 10th and encountered the most rude condescending waitresses ever. Addressing customers as sweetie and making smart remarks plus rushing people so she can leave indicates a poorly trained waitress. I would never sit in her section again or stay if that young woman was working again! Food: excellent. Service: this time terrible!

Comments: Went to your restaurant on Friday April 4th for a fish fry at 5PM. When I went in to request a table for 1 I was told by the hostess that she had too many reservations and I would have to sit at the bar even though there was plenty of tables. I reluctantly went to the bar and even though the food was good I did not enjoy the experience especially when I left about 40 minutes later and there were still at least 4 or 5 tables available. I have been a customer at Chester's on a somewhat regular basis for 5 or 6 years and this is the 1st time I was handled like this. Needless to say I am a little miffed at the handling of this situation. I did mention it to one of the bartenders who agreed with my position and said he was going to talk to hostess.

Comments: We just ate there last night! Unbelievable! We visit New Orleans a couple times a year - the food was authentic NO! I had crawfish augratin...my husband had blackened prime rib and my sister has blackened shrimp. All of us were very pleased with our selections. We will definately be back real soon.
